What is the Job Initiative ?
The Job Initiative is designed to provide full-time work for individuals who have not had regular employment in the last five years. The jobs provided will be in the Social Economy: these are the jobs within local community organisations and public bodies. The Job Initiative will operate on a pilot basis in designated areas of Dublin, Cork City and Limerick City where the new Local Employment Service (LES) is in operation.
