All inclusive fee for divorce - €750 to Solo.ie members

Dear Reader,

As you are probably aware, it is possible to make a personal application to Court in respect of any matter, including divorce. The staff in the Court Offices are immensely helpful and will offer every assistance. However, there are no pre-printed forms and the drafting of documents from the Circuit Court Rules in their prescribed format and presenting your personal details accurately can be a little daunting for a lay person with no knowledge of legal matters. Indeed, many people have no access to a computer or other typing facilities and many more do not have the time available to devote to the compilation of documents and to making the necessary trips back and forth to the Court Office to seek assistance and to lodge documents.

I offer a service whereby I will guide you through your proceedings for divorce from start to finish. I will provide all the forms, insert the required personal details, and bind
your original documents for the Court file, make all the necessary visits to the Court
Office and talk you through the service of documents on your Spouse and the swearing of Affidavits.

I am not a Solicitor, (although I have been closely associated with family law, in one way or another, for the past 34 years) and therefore cannot represent you in Court on the day of your Hearing. However, I will be present with you on the day and will show you the layout of the Court, explain the procedure and ensure that you are in possession of all documents that the Judge may wish to read. The Hearing will be "in camera", that is to say, only the parties (yourself and your Spouse if they attend) are allowed into the Courtroom for the actual Hearing. The Hearing will be very short and the Judges are extremely friendly and helpful in dealing with an underrepresented Applicant.
Because of the fact that I am not a Solicitor I am prevented from giving legal advice and I can provide this service only if all ancillary matters, such as property, maintenance and access to children etc. have already been dealt with by way of mutual agreement, Separation Agreement, Deed of Waiver, Judicial Separation, or by way of any other relevant Court Orders. Ideally, you will also have a consenting Spouse who will co-operate with your Application.

The process begins with a meeting during which I will explain the everything in detail, discuss your particular circumstances and obtain your personal information. I meet with people, in the evenings at the office in Pearse Street, or by other mutual arrangement at any other venue, including your home, during the daytime. 1 travel all over the country, so it is not necessary for persons living outside Dublin to make the journey for the purposes of a meeting.

There is an initial consultation fee of €30, however, if you proceed to avail of my service, that amount will be deducted from the fee for my service, making the consultation free.

Please contact me by telephoning on the numbers provided above and Please mention the fact that you first learned of my service through the website SOLO.

I look forward to speaking with you in the near future.

Yours faithfully,

JANE DOREY
